This second meeting on Virtual Reality and Graphical Interaction (VRGI ’09) continues the relation established during the first (Girona, 2007) meeting to enhance and promote the applications of virtual reality and graphical interaction. By bringing together a multidisciplinary, franco-spanish group of researchers, scientists and engineers, the main objective of this international event is the exchange of experience and knowledge about the use and improvement of virtual reality and graphical interaction. This meeting will provide an opportunity for leading experts to interact, share new results, show live demonstrations of their work, and discuss emerging directions of research.

After a successful first event, we see this new meeting as a dialogue on the present and future of virtual reality applications. Share your own work and educate yourself through exposure to the research of your European neighbour. And of course, there will be time to renew friendships, make new ones and experience the beauty of Brittany.

Topics:
The following scientific topics are particularly encouraged, but are not limited to:

  1. Modelling of Natural Phenomena, Complexity
  2. Virtual Human
  3. Perception, Usage and Validation
  4. Collaboration and Interaction, Haptics
  5. Lighting and Rendering

At the end of the first meeting, the following applications have been identified (but they are not limited to):

  1. Sustainable Development
  2. Health Care
  3. Cultural Heritage
  4. Education and Training
  5. Manufacturing Industry
